Tumblr Update 3.4.18
I realize I haven’t been active on this blog for a few months. For that, I apologize for the long and quiet absence.
These past few months have been busy for me academically and personally. I do think about this blog and the Shakespeare fandom frequently, so please don’t think that I have gone off the grid.
For my academic life, I have two more semesters to complete before I graduate with my BA degree in English, with film being my secondary study. I will do my thesis next semester, which I am both excited and anxious to complete.
For my personal life, I’ve gotten closer to people and broke ties with those who did not bring positivity in my life. I’ve done a lot with my career as a baby drag king, doing a fundraiser show last semester for my learning community on campus and will do the same for this semester. I have a show coming up in late March as well, but in a very different town. I’ve cultivated my singing craft.
For the Shakespeare side, that’s been a lot quieter. My English classes this semester are much more contemporary in content. I want to get back in touch with my Shakespearean roots because after all, Hamlet /did/ play a crucial role in my degree making decision. I did take all of the Shakespeare classes offered at my university, so it’s more of reading and researching causally on my own time. Obviously, I want to be a well-rounded scholar, so more attention has been of film and Canadian studies as of late.
Will I be on here? From time to time. If you’ve followed me for quite some time, I generally have quiet hiatuses until the academic year is over. I do reblog a thing or two from time to time, although this has been even more rare. I’ll try to be more active on this blog.
Hope your 2018 has treated you well so far! Best of luck to you all in your endeavors! I will visit here every now and again.
