I saw AYLI and Hamlet at the Globe and they were both amazing (although AYLI was my fav). Rosalind was played by a very tall man and Orlando was played by a very tiny woman, who played Laertes in Hamlet. The man who played Oliver played Ophelia and messed my shit right up. Celia/Rosenkrantz was played by a Deaf actress and many characters used BSL. I love companies who disregard traditional casting.
Oh, so do I. I’ve seen promo photos for The Globes’ productions of AYLI and Hamlet. Some of my core beliefs are diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, so theatres who have these tenants in mind are those theatres I can trust. 🙂 (Not just theatres, but all facets of life.)
